I collect as little personal data as I can. This page explains what, why, and what you can do about it. It follows Irish and EU data protection law (GDPR).
Race Calendar is run by [TODO(owner): operator name], [TODO(owner): postal address]. I am the data controller. You can reach me at [TODO(owner): contact email] or through the contact form.
Your name and email address, plus the details of the listing. Your name and email are kept privately so I can review the submission and follow up. They are not shown on the public listing.
Your email address and the counties you choose. You confirm your address by clicking a link in a first email (double opt-in). Nothing else is sent until you do.
Your name, your email address and your message.
Plausible Analytics counts visits without cookies and without personal profiles. Cloudflare Turnstile checks forms for bots, and may look at your browser and network signals to do so. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which handles your IP address in order to deliver pages and keep the site secure. Maps load tile images from OpenFreeMap, so your IP address is visible to that service when a map is shown.
I use these services to run the site. Each processes data on my behalf.
I do not sell your data or share it for advertising. Some of these providers may process data outside the EU or EEA. Where they do, I rely on the safeguards the law provides, such as standard contractual clauses. [TODO(owner): confirm the provider regions and safeguards.]
Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe. Submission and contact details are kept for as long as the listing or conversation needs them. [TODO(owner): state exact retention periods.]
You can ask to see your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how it is used, or receive a copy. Where I rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link. To use any of these rights, email [TODO(owner): contact email] or use the contact form.
If you are unhappy with how I handle your data, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission, the Irish supervisory authority, at dataprotection.ie.
Race Calendar is not aimed at children, and I do not knowingly collect their data.
If this page changes in a way that matters, I will update the date above.
